A Moment

Photo by Hayden Walker on Unsplash

For a brief moment in time,
I see a vision sublime;
The path is straight,
The road awake,
Ready to take me to paradise.

A split second past
My mind begins to slant
Away from the vision — a reset,
Back to the current line
Where I drifted from time
To replay the road of today.
