Light after light
I sit in strife
As life passes on by.

Then I go,
And stop once more.
I can’t get through the lights!

Three times red,
I’m still not ahead …
Sitting where I stopped.

Fifteen minutes later
I edge a little straighter,
Over the crosswalks line!
